Who are you guys?
Department Blue is Chattanooga's only grip and lighting rental house. Started because there was no place to rent production equipment in Chattanooga, we also venture out to Atlanta, Birmmingham, Knoxville, Nashville, and Huntsville. We've also been known to travel further, even across the country!
With tight budgets on smaller shoots, often it's not cost effective to rent gear out of town. Many companies resort to renting gear from another, often larger production company. The huge downside is your client seeing your compeitition's name on gear you are using for their shoot. Not to mention your competition might not be giving your their best gear. Department Blue is a rental house only - meaning if your client sees our logo and visits our website - they will never see us offering the same services you do.

We stock a wide range of standard grip and lighting equipment including Tungsten, Kino Flo, HMI, and LED lighting. We also have HD cameras, audio equipment, location equipment, and much more!
